The purpose of the program is to make it as convenient as possible to: Test your water Understand results Learn how to address issues (if any)

Why Continue to Test Your Drinking Water? Public wells are regulated, but private well owners are responsible for testing and treating their drinking water. Water can look, smell and taste fine, but it may still be contaminated.

Where can I get my water tested? The “homeowner package” drinking water testing bottles are always available at the Sauk County UW-Extension Office.
