OS Loads we provide Windows 8.1 (x86 and x64) with Office 2013 Windows 7 (x86 and x64) with Office 2010 Server 2012 R2 - Preferred Windows OS Server 2008 R2 Red Hat 6/7 Server and Desktop [preferred Linux distro] Help available with other Linux distros [Ubuntu, Arch, etc.] Mac OS X 10.8, 10.9, 10.10 Please let us know BEFORE you reload your computer What’s on the OS Menu?

●All virtual machines are behind a firewall but have an external IP address ●Also have a DNS Name Networking Setup

● Direct Connect (preferred) o connect directly to assigned VM: ie, sd-vm00.csc.ncsu.edu o RDP by default on port 4040 o SSH advised for Linux loads o works on campus (wireless) Server 2012 R2 UN/PW: adminuser Please do not mess with the Administrator account RHEL 6/7 UnityID/PW Other OSes available VMs - Connecting from Campus

VMs - Trouble Connecting? vCenter (console access) https://vcenter.csc.ncsu.eduhttps://vcenter.csc.ncsu.edu -- notice the.CSC unityID and password web client: turn machine on/off, adjust settings, console access Must be on-campus or connected via VPN Port Forwarding through firewalls

●Single Point of Contact per incident ●Resource Request form on CSC 492 website o This creates a ServiceNow Incident and cc's your faculty advisor along with Ms. Heil ●You’ll receive an e-mail with your incident number (from csc_help@ncsu.edu) csc_help@ncsu.edu o Reply to this e-mail to communicate with IT staff You can see the incident number in subject line Marks the incident as active in IT staff queue ●Please reply to IT staff e-mails ●Please DON’T e-mail IT staff directly.
