2.   The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination to those with disabilities from transportation, employment, communication, and government activities. This act alone means that a student with disabilities should be provided with accommodations no matter what kind of class may be offered. Yes many students have visual impairments but this doesn't mean that these students will not be able to participate in online courses. There would be more work for the teachers but I believe it is our job to do everything in our power to make sure students are accommodated. Students with disabilities and online instruction could work but it would take a lot of help from the student, teacher, and extra help. Initial Post

3.  Anfernee:  Anfernee: The Rehabilitation Act, created 1998 by US Congress, was an act designed to help provail the disadvantage of disabled people. The Act, has had a positive result in helping the disabled people, due to the fact that modern technology/information is made to be comprehended by the disabilities of people. As examples, modern computers have settings that can read information out loud to the person and books come in brill print for the blind. The Act’s motive over the years seems to be a success.   Me: I agree with you Anfernee. Technology has advanced since the act was passed and will continue to improve. Students with disabilities should not be left out of the technology influence in the classroom or in life. I think incorporating everyone in technology is appropriate for this generation and the ones to come. Response #1
