What was it? Auschwitz was a concentration camp It was build by the third Reich in Polish areas in World war II It opened in spring in 1940 Some punishments were, Nobody was aloud to send letters. Also that you had to put your hands in between barbed wire. Some other punishments were getting hanged, being starved or getting shot.

Interesting facts! It had one satellite ‘Arebeit Macht frei’ on the front of the gate means, Work sets you free There was 7,500 people who were saved from the camp The commander told the prisoners that the gas chamber was a shower It was the largest camp Had 3 parts Also it had 25 miles square of land April 1947 Rudolf Hoess was hanged in front of the camp, the entrance.
