15 Ninian Smart- Ethical and Legal  Smart stated that a tradition must have an ethical dimension.  This will be important so people understand what the religion stands for.  The laws will support the message of the religion. For example, Christians believe in Love Thy Neighbour; and Agape Love is at the core of the Christian faith.
