3 Values Sort Exercise In pairs, find a spot where you can spread out a little bit. This will take you around 30 minutes to complete. Take the 54 values cards and separate them. Place the organizing cards in front of you such that you can create columns with the values cards. Organize the cards by following the directions on the first card in the deck. Use the values as a prompt to create up to ten descriptive statements of what you want (or don’t want) in a career/job. Take the last couple of minutes to tell the person you are paired with about your list. At each point, describe the attribute AND why it is important to you.

4 Descriptive Statements Write down 10 descriptive phrases that indicate what you think you are looking for (or trying to avoid) in an ideal job/career (then share). 6 Retirement Party Press Release You are at the end of a long and what you consider to be successful career. Write me your retirement party press release, in 100 words, of what you have done (i.e., what you have done with your life and why your career has been successful…and think broadly). Leverage the values sort activity to identify attributes of your work that you were able to both derive from and excel at in your work. Consider the things that you would like to spend your time doing and might be able to make a career of!! Clearly and legibly write your name at the top.
