Figure of speech “Holy hands” = clean, pure life Jas.5:16 = righteous man Rom.16:16 = “Holy Kiss”

Inconsistencies: Not in private prayers at home Not just in prayer but singing Why sway the arms ??? Only the men in 1 Tim.2:8

10 “Without Wrath” As men pray... A disposition of mind Not displaying anger toward God Not with anger toward fellow man

11 “Without Doubting” As men pray...
Believe his worship will come before the throne of God Jas. 1:6 - worship offered in faith Mark 11:24 - “...believe that ye receive them,...” Heb. 13:15

12 Some are trying to change the church
Acceptable Prayer Lifting Up Holy Hands Some are trying to change the church Emphasis is on our internal disposition Person leading in public prayer has a life that reflects holy living.
