Root Name Server and Other Name Servers - Root Name Server Master Root Name Server with 13 root name server copies (10 in USA, 2 in Europe, and 1 in Asia) - Top Level Domain(TLD) Name Server Master TLD Name Server for each TLD(ccTLD or gTLD) with one or more copies - Second Level Domain(SLD) Name Server Master SLD Name Server for each SLD with zero or more copies (Third Level Domain Name Server in the case of the TLD is hierarchical)
