Project Overview You are part of the marketing/new product development team at a large company. The president has just announced that the company wants your team to launch a new product for the upcoming season. This must be a product that is not currently on the market. It can be an existing product with a “twist” or product \modification that makes it new.

Marketing Mix Plan You will prepare a written report highlighting the following: Your company Your product Your SWOT analysis Your Marketing Mix (4 P’s) Use template provided so you don’t miss anything. Refer to Report Format section of your handout.

Prototype & Powerpoint You will create a model of your product to use in pitching your ideas. You will also create a Powerpoint presentation to highlight the main points of your written report (refer to handout and title slides accordingly). You will wear professional dress for your presentation

First Steps 1. Select a group of no more than 4. 2. Select a PM. 3. Brainstorm product ideas & decide on a NEW product you’d like to report on. 4. Complete the Google form on Mrs. Raaker’s website for your team.

Homework Save the action plan to a laptop (you plan to bring and work on) or a flash drive, so you can work on it in class.
