TPC Collaboration Meeting 2-3.9.02Peter Glassel 1 Reminder on Installation Schedule (ALICE Forum June 2002) Install Muon magnet directly into experimental hall in temporary position No pre-installation of magnet, absorber, Muon filter, Muon chambers in SXL2 Assembly of absorber at Point 2 Assembly line in SX2 – if agreement with Sarov No displacement of TPC and clean-room Keep clean room in SXL2 Installation of TPC / ITS / Vacuum chamber This installation has a duration of 6 months and is regarded as a block We assume that no other activity can proceed in parallel TDR / TOF / PHOS have two installation periods Period 1: Before TPC/ITS/Va Period 2: After the installation of TPC/ITS/Va (Vacuum chamber in place)

TPC Collaboration Meeting 2-3.9.02Peter Glassel 4 Installation mile stones Close L3 magnet back door Best guess to-day is beginning of 2004 Installation of space-frame In the new planning the space-frame is moved from SXL2 and installed in the experimental area in June 2005 I.e. pre-installation testing in SXL2, involving the space-frame, must end at this date
