Converting Fractions Into Decimals Take your fraction and multiply/divide the denominator into 100. Do the same thing to the numerator. Now that the numerator is an amount out of 100, it can be converted into a decimal. Reduce as needed. Example: 9/25 25 4 100 9 4 = 36 9/25 = 36/100 = 0.36
3
Converting Mixed Numbers Into Decimals First, do the same thing with the fraction as you did before. That will be the decimal part of the answer. Reduce if needed. Once you have done that, add the whole number to the decimal. Example: 7 3/5 5 20 100 3 20 60 3/5 60/100 0.6 0.6 + 7 = 7.6

Converting Decimals to Fractions Since the decimal is out of a multiple of 10, when it is converted into a fraction the denominator will also be a multiple of 10. The decimal itself will be the numerator. Reduce if needed. Example: 0.53 Denominator 100 Numerator 53 0.53 53/100
