Rationale from the FP7 PEOPLE Work Programme (2007) "Rather than providing the possibility for trans-national experiences only through direct Community actions, the co-funding action aims to encourage existing or new regional and national programmes to open up to and provide for trans-national mobility, as well as to reinforce international programmes." 3 History of COFUND
4
Objectives Increase the European-wide mobility possibilities for training and career development of experienced researchers Encourage regional, national and international fellowship programmes to open for trans-national mobility Structuring the European Research Area 4 History of COFUND
5
Expected impact 1.Enabling the relevant regional, national and international actors to contribute to the development of high quality human resources, by introducing and/or further developing the trans- national mobility dimension 2.Increasing the numerical and/or qualitative impact, in terms of supported researchers or working/employment conditions. 3.Combating fragmentation in terms of objectives, evaluation methods and working conditions of regional, national or international offers in this area. 5 History of COFUND
