2 Sense memory Sense memory is the knowledge of what your senses are telling you, for instance if you were to smell the smell of dog it would give you that memory in the brain so if you smell it again you will recognise the smell. Working memory Working memory is the memory that helps you do what you do in every day life e.g. if you were walking along the road and you saw a sign, you would place that memory in your working and know not to go in, then it get’s stored in your long term memory. Long-term memory Long term memory is the memory from along time ago like if you remember your birthday or you knew what you were wearing last week that’s long-term memory. Improving memory To improve your memory you could try making an acronym like CLODD. CLODD stands for careful, listen, organised and don’t distract. Or you could make a chant like, summer, autumn, winter, spring those are the different types of things, heat, leaves, snow and flowers those will keep you there for hours. That’s a chant to remember the four seasons. There is another way to remember to look at your watch during a time when something important is going on is to put it on the opposite hand so it pricks you and you look at it.
