Software Required n Web pages are usually prepared in a special language called HTML. n HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language n HTML can be entered into a text editor like Notepad and then viewed in a browser. n A Web Page Editor can also be used. The advantage to this is you do not need to learn HTML.

Using a Wizard or a Template n Web pages can be created using a wizard n This is a feature which helps you through the process of creating a new web page. n A wizard usually offers a choice of templates. n A template is a readymade blank web page, with placeholders for text and graphics.

Adding Hotspots n Hotspots are areas on a web page which let the user interact with the page. n When the user moves the cursor into a hotspot, or clicks on it, this action triggers an event. n The event could be loading another page or activating a sound file n This allows the page to be interactive and allows the user choice as to what happens next.

Adding Tables n Tables are very useful for keeping text and graphics together. n Tables are made up of data arranged in columns and rows, like a spreadsheet and data is placed in cells. n Tables can improve the appearance of a web page.
