CV-joints transfer torque at a constant rate.
CV-joints can operate through a wide range of angles.
U-joints DO NOT provide a constant speed.

Boots keep dirt and moisture out of the joint.
DO NOT INSTALL SPLIT BOOTS!
Axle must be removed to install new boot.
CV-joint must be completely disassembled, cleaned, and inspected before replacing boot.
Always use new clamps.
