2. Let’s check your eggs! Open your journal to page 17 (Egg Lab). Send ONE person from your group to get your egg cup. Very, VERY gently remove your egg and rinse it off. Throw away the old cup. Place the egg into your NEW cup and bring it back to your table. As a group, make observations. What do you notice? How does the egg look different? How is it the same? Write what you see. Draw a picture of what the egg looks like now. Write a sentence in your Conclusion area about whether your syrup hypothesis was right or wrong.

3. Now what?? Take your cup back to the sink and gently cover it with water. With your group, create a hypothesis about what will happen to the egg in water overnight (If I put an egg in water, then………).

4. Solutions Practice Take out the Osmosis Worksheet you picked up on the way in. Complete ALL PARTS of the worksheet. Draw arrows showing which way water will move (compare the amount of H 2 O in & out of the cell). Identify the solution (hypo/hyper/iso). Fill in missing percentages (ONLY on the back).
