The Stone Age was a time when all people in the world used stone.

The stone age humans were nomadic in those days because if they stayed in one place they would have of died.

Britain was once attached to another continent. In 10 000BC there was an ice age that spread all over Britain.

Around 4000-500BC stone age people started to farm the land. The farming started to spread all over Europe. Around 3000BC the Stone Henge was built.

Around about 2500BC the Bronze Age began. The Bronze Age was different to the stone Age because the main material was stone, but in the Bronze Age they used bronze. The people who brought the skill of metallurgy to Britain were called the Beaker Folk. The way that people made bronze is like this. The first thing they did was they got copper from copper mines. Next they got tin from rivers and streams. Then they melted it and mixed it together.
