Clothes b The Caddo Indians wore tattoos. They used sharp items such as spears to dig into their skins. Then they put charcoal in their wounds and let it heal. That makes a tattoo. b The Caddo Indians grew cotton. They spun the and dyed the thread with colorful vegetable dyes. The women would weave beautiful cotton fabrics. They would use bead work and embroidery to decorate their clothing.

Food b The Caddo Indians were great farmers. Their most important crop was corn. The Caddoes also raised beans, squash, sunflower seeds, and melon.

Recreation Recreation b On special occasions, the Caddo Indians decorate with beads and furnish. b The Caddo Indians also danced the “Turkey Dance ” and the “ Drum Dance”.
