1 Early Sheridan Settlers Presented by Mrs. Kintzi’s 3 rd Grade Class

2 B.F. Perkin helps send kids to college. He was sick when he moved to this area. He was elected Justice of the Peace. By Ethan

3 E.A. Whitney moved from Miles City in 1885. He opened the Bank of Sheridan. Mr. Whitney was one of the original investors in the Sheridan Inn. Mr. Whitney lived in Sheridan for 32 years, but he was traveling for about half that time. Mr. Whitney served as Sheridan’s second mayor. Mr. Whitney left a large fortune with education for young people. By Cody and Liam

Loucks served for two years in the Union Army during the Civil War. John D. Loucks was the first school director. John D. Loucks was the first mayor. John D. Loucks owned the first newspaper.

12 He was a U. S. A and Wyoming state senator. They actually named the Kendrick mansion the trail end. He was born in jacksonville, Texas. He owned a ranch called the OW ranch. They named the trail end cause that’s where they intended to retire. By dalton T. and nicole
