3 Dimension Dimension Dimension means size; A measurable extent, such as the three principal dimensions of an object of width, height and depth.

4 Dimension Constraints Dimension Constraints Dimension Constraints are used to describe the size and location of individual geometric shapes.

5 Width- Width-The measurement or extent of something from side to side. Height- Height- The measurement of someone or something from head to foot or from base to top. Depth- Depth- The distance from front to back.

6 Diameter- Diameter- A straight line passing from side to side through the center of a circle or sphere.

7 Feature- Feature- A distinctive attribute or aspect. The hole is a feature of this object

9 Dimension Line Types Dimension Line Extension Line Leader Line

10 Dimension Line- Dimension Line- Thin lines, capped with arrowheads, which may be broken along their length to provide space for dimension numbers. Extension Line- Extension Line- A thin, solid line perpendicular to a dimension line, indicating which feature is associated with the dimension. Leader Line- Leader Line- Lines that are thin and used to connect a specific note to a feature.

11 Location Dimension- Location Dimension- Dimensions that show the exact location of parts of an object.
