Why does this exist? u Arizona Geographic Alliance (http://alliance.la.asu.edu/azga/) members requested a program where student work was focused on improving their geography teachinghttp://alliance.la.asu.edu/azga/ u ABOR grant provided funding for initial course development u Innovative thinkers in Colleges of Education u Support of geographers at ASU, UofA and NAU

Pacing and Summer Program u Fiscal realities turned this into a summer-based program with option for Winter Session

Summer Focused Or … take it slower… and work on courses year round

Pacing u Can be much slower. Graduate College has allowed registration just during summers. This requires paying readmission fee, but much less than a graduate credit each Fall & Spring u The most rapid pace is 1.5 years.

Financial Aid & Costs u Financial aid questions ONLY through official FA offices… (ASU Downtown & Polytechnic easiest to reach)

Cost Frustrations - in state u This is cost structure now. May go up. u We keep book costs down!!!

Cost frustrations - out of state u 1.5 in state tuition u We realize not competitive, AT ALL

Communication u Face-to-face is always best. Will meet in person for coffee, for you to look at alliance maps & discuss, when students request gatherings (e.g. before 674 starts, before break for summer) u Discussion boards requested by you u E-mail u Set up time to phone you u Other ideas? Please let us know!
