Mission Statement The Green Machines are a highly motivated group of Umass Dartmouth students dedicated to creating a greener environment by provoking change. We strive to educate and influence New Bedford residents to recycle plastic bags and case wrap at grocery stores. We are also committed to spreading awareness on proper recycling procedures of plastic bags. 4

Market Basket Booth Almost everybody dropped one plastic bag that was filled with others. For each bag recycled we gave one raffle ticket all the way up to ten back Most were already aware about the bins Those who didn’t’ know recycled after shopping
