What is it? It´s the British parlament, They have their head office there. They are located on the River Themsen Beach. North of the great clock big ben.

Facts about Houses Of Parliament. In the 13th century it was a castle, there lived the King of England. Much of the Palace burned down, 1512 The main courtroom that was 80 feet long and 21 feet wide. But they built it up again.

Continue of the facts. In 1941 the Germans bombed the Palace was damaged by it, and destroyed the House of Commons premises. They are built in the Gothic style. Here are collected the lower House (The house of Commons) and the upper House (The House of Lords) in the different chambers

At night, Harrods is lit up by 12,000 light bulbs on the store’s façade and 300 bulbs have to be changed every day. This began with its Christmas lights in 1959 when 1,100 bulbs were used for the decorations.

Harrods… Harrods is the jewel in the crown of London department stores. Charles Henry Harrod opened it in 1834 when he was only 25 years old and today it is still a major shopping destination. As much a London landmark as it is a store, it has certainly picked up an interesting factor or two during its 180 years.
