Their objectives are:  To explain plans for water efficiency and to discuss the use of water management techniques with residents for the community to become water neutral  To gain information / opinions from existing residents and from interested parties.  To hear all sides of the argument – both for and against

10 The Great Debate Lesson Plan 2 Extension activity  You are a journalist. Write an article for the local paper summarising the arguments and outcomes of the debate. You may wish to interview some of the participants.  You are a reporter for the local TV station, make a film of your “to camera” report for the local evening news. Would some of the people involved be willing to be interviewed live on TV?  You participated in the debate, write a letter to the local newspaper continuing to argue your point of view.
