2. A. Predicting Some Sentences You are going to read a news report about “ A Bank Robbery ”. Guess what the news report is about. Write one or two sentences in your exercise book. You have 3 minutes to do that.

3. Sharing 1 Share your prediction with your partner or in a small group. Would some of you like to share your prediction with the class?

4. B. Predicting Some Words Write some words / phrases that you think may appear in the text. Read your words and phrases to your partner. Tell your partner whether you like his / her prediction.

5. Sharing 2 Tell your partner what you have guessed. Tell your partner whether you like his / her guess. You may say: – I like your story. It is good. – I think you can add some more ideas.

6. C. Reading While reading: Read the text silently. Try to understand it. Guess the meaning of the new words. Note the key points. After reading: Put away the text. Then, write out what you can remember in your exercise book.

7. D. Retelling Read your retelling to your partner. Have you left anything out? Can you add some more points? Who wants to share your ideas with the class?
