Physics at 3-20 MeV/u should we include up to 100 MeV/u??: - Direct Nuclear Reactions, Clustering, Fusion Evaporation, Deep Inelastic, etc. The HYDE concept Status and perspectives 2006-2008: - Preliminary concept design. - Simulations GEANT4. - Status and funding. E 1 E 2 E Detection techniques: - E 1 : gas/monolithic Si-10 m. - E 2 : DSSD 40 m. - E : Single PAD 2 mm. - Pulse shape analysis. - Time of flight. HYDE Goals: - Charged particles. - Good charge and mass identification. - Efficiency (>60%). - Good energy resolution (<300 keV). - Angular resolution (<2º). Beam: - Large emitance > 20 mmmrad. - Low intensity <10 7 pps.

HYDE DETECTOR: Current period 2006: - Materials/Instruments/Travelling: about 20 k€ from present running projects -1 year contract for electronic engineer (Spanish Research Council-MEC) Period 2007-2009: Application to Spanish Research Council (MEC) (HUELVA & SEVILLA) 1)Pulse shape analysis 2)Detector materials 3) Development of tracking detectors 4) Related experiments and collaborations - Materials/Traveling: 160 k€ / - Man power: 210 k€ /3 years contract for: 1 Engineer 1 Postdoc 1 PhD student. LOW ENERGY TRACKING: Current period 2006: -1 Postdoc (physics) - Experiments at Tandem with present equipment are foreseen for 2006. Period 2007-2009: Application to Spanish Research Council (MEC) (SEVILLA & HUELVA): 1) Construction of a beam line for low energy tracking 2) Related experiments and collaborations - Materials/Travelling: 150 k€ -Man power: 210 k€ /3 years contract for: 1 Engineer 1 Postdoc 1 PhD student R&D STAGE 2006-2007/FUNDING
