5. Student task In pairs find an example of each type of transactional text listed. Use the internet, library or personal artefacts from your email etc. to find your examples. Organise them in your display book so you can view them easily with your partner. Discuss your findings together using the transactional text rubric and fill in the spaces required.

6. Analysing a text – Using the Rubric Text Type (Email, Letter, invitation, etc.) Aim of the text (What is the writer trying to achieve/ say) Interesting things/ Features of the text (Formatting, set out, page layout) Language Features (Interesting words, styles or language)
