Has Anyone Ever Said This to You…… “I was just kidding” “I was just kidding” “I didn’t mean anything by it” “I didn’t mean anything by it” “Can’t you take a joke?” “Can’t you take a joke?” If this was said to you, how could you tell whether the comment was mean or offensive rather than funny?

Just Kidding Scenarios Right now, your homeroom teachers will pass out copies of the “Just Kidding” scenarios. Right now, your homeroom teachers will pass out copies of the “Just Kidding” scenarios. Once you have your copy, grab a partner. Once you have your copy, grab a partner. With your partner, read each scenario and discuss whether the incident described is “harmless teasing”, “hurtful,” or “need more information” to make a decision.
