2 1. Benjamin Franklin He was a statesman, public leader, and a scientist where he contributed a huge part of many things that lead to many good things.

3 2. Francis Bacon Studied the direct and indirect reasoning which gave a huge impact to scientist about discovering new ideas.

4 3. Thomas Hobbes He was another founder of theEnlightenment along with Locke. He founded Western political philosophy and looked over the social contract.

5 4. John Locke His idea is like the mother of democracy (he started the idea) and He was the first enlightenment thinker also influenced ideas of other thinkers.

6 5. Isaac Newton Newton’s Law motion which effects a lot to math and science. Still, people use his ideas for many things.

7 6. Adam Smith He was an economist that his idea influenced a lot to the economy and his idea was the wealth of nations that it shows what is beneficial to the nations and all.

8 7. Montesquieu His theory of the separation of powers of the government set a foundation for nowadays government justice, efficiency, and equality.

9 8.Johannes Kepler: He started the foundation for Newton’s ideas of gravity and physics. 9. Galileo Galilei: He was a guy who went against the church and told everyone that the sun was the center of the universe not the earth. 10. Mary Wollstonecraft: She believed that woman were as equal as man are. 11. Thomas Paine: He wanted the government of democracy in United States and also helped gain independence from Britain. 12. Anna Bijns: She also believed in woman’s rights and went against getting married. 13. Charles Darwin: He discovered the theory of evolution. Darwin discovered natural selection and his discoveries explain the origin of humans. 14. Maria Sibylla Merian: She was a woman scientist. 15. Jean Jacques Rousseau: He founded the idea of republicanism. 16. Voltaire: He helped to come up with ideas for social reforms. 17. Joseph Haydn: Haydn was a very important musician. He was the “Father” in the music society. 18. G.F. Handel: He was the first great musician and his music influenced all of the other’s. 19. W.A. Mozart: He composed many classics which later influenced others to compose like him. 20. Ludwig von Beethoven: A composer like Mozart very famous, but was not original.
