SATS Airborne Internet Definition A private, secure and reliable peer-to-peer aircraft communications network that uses the same technologies as the commercial Internet.

SATS What is the Airborne Internet and the Airborne Internet Collaboration Group? The airborne internet provides a system architecture that integrates COTS and IP protocols and services to provide secure, high-speed digital, two way communications, air to air and air to ground. The Airborne Internet Collaboration Group charter is to promote the concept and national value of airborne, peer-to-peer communications open to public and private sector participants.
