5. Capital  Name: The capital of Mexico is Mexico City  Size: It is the largest capital, highest city, and home to 1/5 of Mexico’s people.

6. History  When: 1517  By who: Hernan Cortez and his Spanish crew  Result: Mexico’s language, people, and way of living changed. The Spanish also brought small pox which killed many Indians.

7. Culture  Religion: Roman Catholic  Races: Mulattos, Castizo and Mestizo  Recreation Activities: Football in the MFL, more commonly known in the U.S. as soccer.

8. Family  Size: Families range in size, but usually are large. Grandparents often live with the family.  Relationships: People in Mexico hold high value towards children and elders. Family is very important!

9. Holidays  Fiestas: Are important to the Mexican Life  Semana Santa: A week long celebration of Christmas.  Day of the Dead : A day to remember the dead and celebrate life.
