7. Issue: Secondhand Smoke Nonsmokers shouldn’t have to suffer so… Their increasing laws that limit smoking in public areas and smoking in cars with children.

8. Cigarettes are Important for our Economy

9. Unfortunately… Medical costs from smoking are higher than the profit from cigarettes sold. =Lost Productivity

10. However… Over 700,000 jobs in the cigarette industry. 1.6 million U.S adults are supported from this industry.

11. Black Market

12. Smokers will smoke cigarettes whether they’re illegal or not. The Law won’t stop them because of the addiction they create.

13. Violence = Prison

14. Prescription drugs and/or therapy are often needed to treat addiction. Tax money often covers this creating lost productivity.
