12. What do I need to do GCSE Art? It is recommended that you have reached KS3 levels 6,7,8. (you can do it with a 5 if you are motivated, discuss this with your teacher) An enthusiasm to explore your creativity

14. The Art syllabus The ‘Freechoice’ sketchbook will include: This is great for art as it gives you more freedom to explore your creative potential with more time to review your progress. You will start the course with a sketchbook which will broaden your skills. This will include digital photography, drawing, acrylic painting, an art gallery experience, and other research.

15. The Exam Project This is a project, just like the last portfolio project, which evolves from a list of starting points. Again, you develop your skills and interests around your chosen theme. This project lasts from January to Easter in Y11 and it is worth 40% of your final mark.
