The Olympics will use a mixture of new and existing venues historic and temprorary facilities The 2012 Olympics and Paralympics in London will be located in an Olympic zone around Stratford in East London The Olympic zone is divided into three zones: the Central Zone, the Olympic Park Zone and the River Zone

Requires numerous improvements The London Underground will transport spectators to the Olympic venues One of the goals is to reduce traffic levels, for example ticketholders would be entitled to free use of London’s public transportation network on the day of the event
