To introduce and understand the idea of Stereotypes, Prejudice and Discrimination To identify some examples of stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination To begin to consider how Stereotypes, Prejudice and Discrimination affect people’s lives.

Do you have any idea what these words mean? Discuss them with your partner and try to come up with some definitions

STEREOTYPES – a standard image or idea of a type of person, for example all Muslims are Terrorist. PREJUDICE – an opinion about something, a dislike of a particular race, religion or group E.G – Adolf Hitler and the Jewish people. DISCRIMINATION – to single out a group or person for bad treatment/good treatment on the basis of their religion, race or sex. Write these definitions in your book!
