What was the movement Well the Black Power movement was when there was a turning point in black-white relations in the United States. Black Power means: – Emphases racial pride – Promoted collective black interest – Advocated for the creation of black cultural and political institutions – Promoted self determinations

What was the movement Political Goals Defense against racial oppression Established social institutions Create self-sufficient economy Stokely Carmichael “This is the twenty-seventh time I have been arrested and I ain't going to jail no more! The only way we gonna stop them white men from whuppin' us is to take over. What we gonna start sayin' now is Black Power!”
