Early Life Queen Victoria was born on the 24 th May 1819. In 1820 her father died, this meant Queen Victoria was only 1. In 1837 her uncle died and Queen Victoria became Queen. Queen’s Life When she first became Queen she thought she could do anything she wanted but she soon realised she couldn’t. She had her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 1887. In 1897 it was her Diamond Jubilee (60 years) When her husband, Prince Albert died, the Queen mourned For 10 years and wore black for the Rest of her life.

Family Queen Victoria had 9 children, 40 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Her parents were Edward, Duke of Kent, and Princess Victoria Mary Louisa of Saxe Saalfeld Coburg. Queen Victoria’s family were German. King George III was her grandfather.

Facts Victoria was the longest reigning British monarch. She reigned for 63 years and 7 months. She collected 132 wooden dolls. She had a dog called Dash who was a spaniel. Whilst she was reigning the first stamp was invented (the Penny Black.)
