6. What is the ACT?  The ACT is an important test that colleges use to help them make admissions and scholarship decisions.  Students who take EXPLORE are more likely to score higher on the ACT test.

13. What Do Your Scores Mean?

14. 13 1.The two scores directly under English tell you how well you did in these two areas of English: Usage/Mechanics—punctuation, grammar and usage, and sentence structure Rhetorical Skills—your understanding of the use of strategy, organization, and style in writing 2.These scores only range from 1 to 12. Added together they do NOT necessarily equal your English Test score. 3.Your Composite Score is simply the average of your test scores in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science (rounded to a whole number).

This shows you how your scores compare to those of students across the country who took EXPLORE. 2.This report shows 59% next to the English score. This means he/she scored as high as or higher than 59% of students who took Explore in the nation AND ALSO 65% “At Coffman Middle School” 3.The bar graph provides a visual to show where you are strongest and weakest.

17. The Estimated PLAN Composite Score Range is a prediction about how you are likely to score on PLAN if you take the right courses and work hard in those courses. Are You on Track?
