#5 – Entrance Through The Veil
2
“Behind the second veil there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies…and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat…only the high priest enters once a year, not without taking blood….” Hebrews 9:3,5,7
3
We have been transferred into the holiest of holies – the very presence of Almighty God. The experience is well discussed in four amazing verses in Hebrews 10:19-22.
4
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
5
What animal sacrifices could never do Hebrews 10:1-4 Could never by repetitive sacrifices perfect worshipers. Could not cleanse the conscience. Could not take away sin.
6
Great Day of Atonement Cherubim woven into the veil. Cherubim overshadowing the mercy seat Blood for atonement and incense smoke for prayers Repeat.Repeat.Repeat

Vs.22 -- …and our bodies washed with pure water… Can only refer to our baptism – a complete renewal into a new creature
16
Exodus 29:4, 20-21 – “Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water….You shall slaughter the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and on the lobes of his sons…and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet….”
