Key Terms Electricity: The flow of electrons. Electronics: The controlling of the flow of electrons (small amounts).

Key Terms Atoms: The small part of what everything is made of. Nucleus: The middle of the atoms.

Key Terms Electrons: The negative parts that travels around the nucleus. Protons: The positive parts of the nucleus. Neutrons: The neutral parts of the nucleus.

Key Terms Conductor: Something that lets electricity to flow easily through it. Insulator: Something that does not let electricity to flow easily through it.

Key Terms Circuit: A path that electricity flows.

Key Terms Open Circuit: A path with no electricity flowing.

Key Terms Closed Circuit: A path with electricity flowing.

Key Terms Short Circuit: Electricity flowing outside of the path.

Key Terms Series Circuit: Only one way through the circuit.

Key Terms Parallel Circuit: More than one way through the circuit.

Key Terms Load: Something that uses electricity

Key Terms Integrated Circuit (IC) or Computer Chip: A lot of tiny interconnected circuits.

Key Terms Resistor: It slows the flow of electrons.

Key Terms Photo Resistor: It slows the flow of electrons basseted on the amount of light.
