Energy systems support business processes and interact with communities, region, and buildings. Potential smart grids include electricity, natural gas, water, even traffic. The scope of a smart grid might be the building, campus, or region When the actors understand the context of each system, the risk of making decisions about that system are reduced, increasing the potential size and scope of interactions such as Demand Response (DR). Even cyber-security can only be understood through the context of the services it protects. This session offers a conversation between leaders in the standards that put systems in context whether in space, or in a building, or in the service provided.
