9.  By evaporation: ◦ At oven at 150 C. UNSUCCESSFUL!!!

10.  By Centrifuge: ◦ Media was centrifuge for 5 – 10 min. Too time consuming!! But SUCCESSFUL!!!

12.  Set up 8 or 10 bottles, (duplicates)  Monitor pH in the bottles and adjust CO 2 accordingly.---Will need flowmeters for better control of flowrate into each bottle.  Control light, using Li-Cor PAR sensor.  Monitor temperature.  Will use one bottle for growth rate measurement, while leaving one undisturbed.  Possibly use 2 different media for the Dunaliella algae. (Erdschreiber's Medium, F/2 medium), and for the BB.Erdschreiber's Medium

13.  Dry Algae  Homogenize with mortar and pestle in n- hexane. Let sit for 10 min.  Centrifuge at 5000rpm for 10 min. Repeat.  Use the Dryer and Bligh method as well, ( methanol, chloroform, water mixture).  Compare.  Analyze oil.
