What is Bridges? This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math. Offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs. What is Bridges continued? Grant given through 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Proposed activities target students and families of students who attend schools eligible for Title I school-wide programs or schools that serve a high percentage of students from low-income families.

Bridges Schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Tuesday through Thursday focus on math (Kendra) Friday Morning- Book Reviews (Liz) Friday Afternoon- Fun! ( RECLAIM YOUR WEEKEND) 1 hour enrichment activities each day (Friday until 4:30) 15 students per grade in grades 3 – 5 (including 2 student leaders) Small group instruction 1:8 teacher/student ratio
