Functions of Organelles: 6.Golgi apparatus (bodies) – Modifies, sorts, and packages proteins and other materials from the ER 7.Mitochondrion – Uses energy from food to make high-energy compounds 8.Cell membrane – Thin, double-membrane that controls what enters and leaves the cell 9.Nucleolus – Small dense region that produces ribosomes 10.Nuclear envelope (membrane) – Controls what enters and leaves the nucleus
