After studying the lizards, he realised that they were a new species. Even stranger – they were all clones. Suggest how he knew they were a new species. What are clones? How do these lizards reproduce?

The lizards reproduce asexually and all the offspring are identical to the mother and each other. Why are the offspring identical? Give some advantages and disadvantages of asexual reproduction.
