Forcing, Initial and boundary conditions  The present version is forced by the global SeaWIFS (Morel and Berthon, 1989) chlorophyll climatology and measured in situ data of nitrate from WOA database.  Phytoplankton and zooplankton are estimated (Feldman and McClain, 2006).
