Data Collection and Field Observations February 9, 2011 Counted autos, pedestrians, bicyclists, buses 7:00 – 9:00 AM, 2:15 – 4:00 PM Observed directionality, parking behavior, traffic queuing, jaywalking, and unsafe maneuvers AM Peak Hour Observations Traffic queues extend back to shopping center Unsafe pedestrian movements Poorly regulated traffic flows PM Peak Hour Observations Traffic jams on-site Traffic queues from north end to Ramona Unsafe pedestrian movements Poorly regulated traffic flows
