12 12 Issues/Concerns The new ½ day TAC meeting format has negative consequences because region (& liaison) reports are, for the most part, written-only  Participation/attendance is a problem if not giving oral report. –If participation reduced, connections between regions/sections and TAC suffer –If participation reduced, connections across regions suffer  A written report posted on SharePoint will receive little or no readership, so why write the report at all –The action of writing the report itself is one that helps establishes a connection between the region/sections and TAC. –This is a test. If you read this report, please email me s.a.rizzi@nasa.govs.a.rizzi@nasa.gov  Liaison between national committees and regions/sections will be diminished at a time when we should be trying to invigorate that. –Are other standing committees going to a shorter format? Region I Technical Activities January 6, 2016

13 13 Issues/Concerns What is role of the Regional DD Technical Activities in the TAC under the new governance model?  How do we stay connected going forward?  What kind of things can the Regional DDs do to help inform the regions/sections on the impact of the new governance model on AIAA technical activities & TAC?
