Young Leaders Network An introduction to Seniors & Young Leaders groups.
2
What is Young Leaders Network? A network for Seniors & Young Leaders within the BB. Fun, adventure, fellowship and development. Like minded individuals of a similar age. Began nationally, but now more localised.
3
From National to Battalion… Began through BB Scotland to address falling numbers of Seniors. A number of new events are now a major part of the calendar. Due to success, a number of Battalions have started a local YLN. - Strathkelvin - Glasgow - Stirling
4
How to organise & run a YLN… Not a one size fits all!! However, key points are common throughout: Ask don’t assume. Outsource – get advice. The availability of funding… “a rainy-day fund” Communication. Regular calendar & something to look forward to.
5
What activities can YLN do? The young people must be empowered in the decision making. Should reflect a range of interests: Get-together with food Comedy gigs Adventurous activities Challenge Plus Events International Development Limited only by imagination…
6
What about awards?
