6 Echinoderms: The "Spiny-skinned" Animals Echinoderms include starfish sea cucumbers sea urchins sand dollars The water vascular system is a system of fluid- filled internal tubes that carry food and oxygen, remove wastes, and help echinoderms move. All echinoderms use their tube feet to "walk". Some use them to get food.

7 Echinoderms have an endoskeleton made of hardened plates. Adults have radial symmetry, usually in multiples of 5. They reproduce sexually. The fertilized eggs develop into larva which undergo a metamorphosis to become adults.

9 Starfish Starfish have five or more arms (or rays) that extend from a central body. Starfish have the ability to regenerate. They use their tube feet to capture prey and to move.
